Professor Brian Layland, BSc (Opt. Sc.) OAM is the Director of the NSW Aboriginal Eyecare Programme with the International Centre for Eyecare Education (ICEE) and has been responsible for establishing eyecare clinics in Aboriginal Medical Services around NSW through a collaboration of the Vision CRC and ICEE, together with the Aboriginal Health and Medical Research Council (AH&MRC) and local AMS’s and Aboriginal communities. We are priviliged to have our Auditorium named after Professor Layland.

AHMRC of NSW

The Aboriginal Health and Medical Research Council of New South Wales (AH&MRC) is the peak body for Aboriginal Health in NSW.

The Aboriginal Health College is the result of a long term vision of the Aboriginal Health & Medical Research Council of New South Wales to establish and maintain an Aboriginal community controlled educational institution to provide culturally appropriate accredited education courses in Aboriginal health.
