Facilities

All lecture rooms are equipped with Smart Boards, wired Internet access and ceiling fans with views to the  Ocean. The building accommodates people with a disability through ramp access, lifts, toilets, Tactile Ground Surface Indicators (for sight impaired) and designated car parking spaces.

Our facilities are available Monday-Friday 8.30am-5pm.
The Aboriginal Health College is a smoke free environment.

Ground level
  • A large foyer area
  • 180 seat airconditioned auditorium is equipped with state of the art AV equipment including: video conferencing and recording facilities, 2 projection screens, 2 lecterns, 2 wireless microphones, 2 lapel microphones, DVD, video, laptop connection abilities
  • Meals area which could seat up to 100 people (extra tables and chairs could be hired to fit another 100 people).
  • Commercial Kitchen (fully equipped but limited stock of crockery and cutlery)
  • Toilet amenities including disabled with shower facilities and baby change table
  • Outdoor area which can be used for gatherings, serving meals etc - BBQ available for hire on request
Level 1
  • 2 Clinic Rooms with simulation Primary health Care setting and include basic clinic equipment, one with an examination bed, a Tympanometer and an Otoscope, used for training purposes.
  • 2 Lecture Rooms equipped with Smartboards and flip charts. (up to 30 seats depending on the seating set-up required)
  • Library equipped with 12 terminals connected to the internet, printer & copier. (currently the library book resources are not available for loan)
  • 20 coin lockers (individual key, refundable 2 dollar coins)
  • Reception and College Administration Staff offices
  • Toilet amenities including disabled with shower facilities
Level 2
  • 1 Board Room equipped with a Smartboard and flip chart, teleconferencing machine (up to 60 seats depending on the set-up required)
  • 2 Lecture Rooms equipped with a Smartboards and flip charts (up to 40 seats each depending on the seating set-up required)
  • 2 Balconies with seating and tables (can be used as breakout areas if required)
  • Toilet amenities including disabled with shower facilities
  • AHC Manager Education and Training and Teachers offices
  • Kitchen/ Staff room (AHC staff only)
Car Parking
  • Free limited undercover parking is available and mostly reserved for staff, people with disabilities, trainers, presenters and VIP’s.
  • Ample free & unlimited street parking is available.
Catering

The College does not provide catering but your own caterers are welcome to use our available facilities & equipment.

AHMRC of NSW

The Aboriginal Health and Medical Research Council of New South Wales (AH&MRC) is the peak body for Aboriginal Health in NSW.

The Aboriginal Health College is the result of a long term vision of the Aboriginal Health & Medical Research Council of New South Wales to establish and maintain an Aboriginal community controlled educational institution to provide culturally appropriate accredited education courses in Aboriginal health.
